At JTL we are helping thousands of people in England and Wales to launch exciting careers as electricians, plumbers, heating and ventilating engineers and engineering maintenance operatives in the building services engineering sector through apprenticeship training.
Apprenticeships are work-based, government funded, training programmes for people aged 16 and over that lead to a nationally recognised qualification.
They are a great way to combine practical training in a job whilst studying. Apprentices will gain hands-on experience and learn skills that employers want, helping them to develop rewarding future careers.
As an apprentice you will work alongside experienced staff, gain job-specific skills, earn a wage and get holiday pay, and get time for study related to your role. You can start an apprenticeship at any time of the year.
Apprenticeships are suitable for you if you are just starting out in your career, or if you have been working for some time in the sector and want to get formal qualifications. They are also suitable for you if you have been working in a different sector and you are looking to change careers.
As a JTL Apprentice you will also receive a range of benefits such as a free JTL starter toolkit and study books, a dedicated Training Officer and an Apprentice Support Officer who will support you throughout your studies.
You can also take advantage of free support and benefits offered by our partner organisation the JIB, as a JIB registered apprentice.
Whether you start an electrical apprenticeship or plumbing apprenticeship you are also eligible to receive free support from the Electrical Industries Charity (EIC).
JTL offer a wide range of courses across a variety of industries.
